Esther Manito - Comedy Biography

Esther is an exciting British-Lebanese comedian, who burst onto the stand-up circuit in 2016. Within just 18 months of performing, she was reaching the finals of major comedy competitions and impressing audiences and promoters with her unique comic perspective.

As heard on BBC Radio 4, and performed in comedy clubs across the UK, Esther’s observational stand-up reflects on how being a mum can be hard work, how being a woman is challenging, how being Arab is tough at times and how being middle class English is….never tough….(unless Waitrose is out of Avocados). Esther ably proves that being all four, can be hilarious.

In addition to stand-up, she is also an actor and an experienced sketch comedy performer and is currently regularly performing in online sketches as part of Unhinged Productions.

As well as performing, Esther also writes about her relationship with her Arab roots and how this influences her role as a mum, a wife and daughter. Recently she has contributed to the book ‘Don’t Panic, I’m Islamic’, published by Saqi Press.
